Currently employing a field maintenance force of dedicated personnel who are Mechanical and Electrical/Instrumentation Technicians, this workforce is supplemented by specialist sub-contract personnel.

This group provides Mechanical and Electrical maintenance services and minor capital works throughout the South East Water region and performs activities including:

Mechanical Preventative and Reactive maintenance for:

• Altitude, Pressure Reducing, Surge Valves and Air Valves for the control of Levels at Elevated Water Tanks/Service Reservoirs and reticulated Zone Pressures.
  
• Various Blowers, Compressors and Aerators at Treatment Plants.
  
• Annual and Bi-Monthly Diesel Generator Maintenance.
  
• Wastewater Pumps, Penstocks and associated mechanical equipment in Submersible and Dry Well Pumping Stations.
  
• Water Pumps and associated mechanical equipment in Water Pumping Stations.
  
• Cranes and Hydraulic equipment.
  
• Gas Chlorinators, Chemical Dosing and Odour Control equipment.

Electrical and Instrumentation Preventative and Reactive Maintenance for:

• Water and Wastewater Pump Station Switchboards and Pump Controls.
• High Voltage Maintenance at Water Pumping Stations.
• Various Motors and Fans.
• Telemetry, Monitoring and Control at Water Tanks and Reservoirs.
• Telemetry monitoring of Emergency Relief Structures.
• Various Pressure and Flow Data loggers.
• Dissolved Oxygen, pH equipment and Chlorine Leak Detection Equipment.
• Calibration of various Flowmeters and equipment.
• Various Motors and Fans at all sites.

Other services include:

• Workshop for minor maintenance and repairs for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Providing technical support in vibration monitoring, oil analysis and thermography.
• Minor Capital works projects in providing Mechanical and Electrical Installation Services for Water and Wastewater Pumping Stations, Pressure Reducing Stations and Flowmeter installations.
